## **Drum Sander Policy**

The drum sander is designed for fine sanding and minor thickness adjustments—it is **not a planer**. Don't use it to remove significant material or flatten badly warped boards. That's a job for the planer.

**Using the Machine**

- One quarter turn of the thickness handle equals 1/64" of material removal
- Never remove more than 1/64" in a single pass
- Make two passes at the same setting before lowering for another cut

### **Sandpaper**

Members provide their own sandpaper. You can purchase it from The Joinery (when in stock), Woodcraft in Madison, or online from Amazon.
