# Tool Tote

*One 8-foot board becomes the thing you carry everything else in.*

## Why this one

You start with one 8-foot board and end with something you will actually use every time you come to the shop. It walks the whole arc of woodworking — rough lumber in, finished object out — without any single step being hard enough to stop you.

> This is a prototype. When I do a project for the first time, I like to think of it as a prototype — I’m practicing the skills to produce the real piece once I have it all figured out. This takes a lot of the pressure off.
