Dovetail Joinery with Hand Tools
Do you want to get into woodworking, but don’t have a lot of space or money for equipment? Are you interested in learning how to create projects with wood using no electricity?
Do you currently use power tools, but want to see how you can integrate hand tools?
Dennis Hiorns, owner of The Hardwood Craftsman, uses hand tools every day to restore antiques as well as build new furniture. Come learn how to create the quintessential woodworking joint, the dovetail, using simple hand tools. He will cover through dovetails and half-blind dovetails, showing you how to cut them accurately and efficiently.
He will also go over the tools showing you how to use them and what to look for if you’re in the market to set up your own workshop.
All tools will be provided for class, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer (they must already be tuned up and ready to use).
This class will be 4 sessions one day per week on Thursday.
