  • Free — no RSVP, no ticket, just show up

Once a year we open the doors and let the whole community walk through. There is food off the grill — hot dogs, brats, snacks and drinks. Bring the kids, bring a friend, bring the neighbor who has been wondering what goes on in that big shop on Fairway Place.

Come see a shop full of makers.

Tour the shop

Walk the whole floor — the machine room, the bench room, the lumber racks, the classroom. See the tools up close and ask anything you want about how the place works.

Watch the work

Demonstrations run throughout the day. Watch a bowl come off the lathe, shavings curl off a hand plane, and finished furniture take shape from a stack of rough boards.

Kids build a birdhouse

Hammer it together, paint it however you like, and take it home the same day. Free, hands-on, and sized for small builders. No experience required — for the kids or the grown-ups helping.

Local craft, on the floor.

Members and local makers set up tables to show what they have been building — furniture, turned bowls, boxes, glasswork, and more. Some of it is there to look at. Some of it is for sale, straight from the person who made it.

Past years have included

  • Capital Hardwoods & Supplies
  • Morning Glory Glass Studio
  • SharpeningSupplies.com
  • Mordecai Book Building
  • The Heirloom Craftsman

Want a table? Members and makers who would like to display a project, run a demo, sell their work, or help with setup and cleanup — email joinery@thejoinery.club and we will find you a spot.

Fest got you thinking? You do not have to join to start — take a class and build something real, or read up on membership and 24/7 shop access. Can’t make it on the 12th? We hold an open house the second Saturday of every month.
