Introduction to Woodworking — Cohort 1

Introduction to Woodworking is a 5-week hands-on course for adults who are new to woodworking or returning after a long break.

Schedule: 5 Thursday evenings — May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4, 2026 — 5:30–8:00 pm

Over five evenings you’ll cover shop safety, tool identification, measuring and marking, hand tool use, and basic joinery — and leave with a finished project you built yourself.

This course satisfies The Joinery’s hands-on safety requirement for new members. No prior experience required. All tools and materials provided. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting sawdust on.

Class size is limited to 8 students.
