The Best Woodworking Tip I Know – Using a Table Saw Pattern Fence

This is one of the best tips that I have ever learned. It has changed the way I do a lot of my wood working and amplified everything from making boxes to creating joints on cabinets and even trimming marquetry panels. Doug Dale at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking is who showed me this tip and I keep finding more and more ways to use it. Watch the video below for a description of the set up and how to use it.

One of the great things about this fence setup is that it protects both you and the work piece. I have seen this used in classes with 18 people running large cabinet sides through the table saw and no one made a mistake or scraped any wood.

Have you used a fence like this? Any other tips or uses? Comment below.
