Why I’m Switching To the Metric System in The Woodshop
Over the last several months, I’ve started using the metric system in the woodshop, and the more I use it, the more reasons I’m finding to love it.

Bought the Jointer/Planner combo from Grizzly
Yep, I bit the bullet and bought the G0634XP – 12” Planer/Jointer with Spiral Cutter head – Polar Bear Series from Grizzly. As I was looking at the needs of my shop and where I could improve in both quality and process, the jointer and planners are both items that are both laking in both performance and process.

X-Carve Dinning Room Table Retrofit
A year or so back I made a Dinning Room Table out of found walnut. The boards had aged in my shop for a couple of years and seemed dried and ready to go. After a few months with the finished table in the house. The top started to crack and eventually split along one of the seems.

SawStop Sliding Table Upgrade
So I finally updated my SawStop with the sliding table upgrade. I originally installed the table on the end of the left wing. I didn’t like how far from the blade it was so I decided to move it closer by removing the cast iron wing.
