Membership Hold Policy #

At The Joinery, we value our community and understand that life can sometimes present challenges that may require our members to take a temporary leave from their woodworking activities. To accommodate these situations, we have established the following Membership Hold Policy:

General Membership Terms #

• Membership at The Joinery is a continuous term and requires 30 days’ notice for cancellation.

• Changes in membership status involve administrative tasks and may incur fees related to our membership management software.

• There is a limit to the number of active members at The Joinery at any given time. Therefore, a membership hold occupies a slot that could be allocated to a new paying member.

Eligibility for Membership Holds #

• Members are allowed one membership hold per year for extreme circumstances, including but not limited to health issues, family emergencies, or other significant constraints.

• The maximum duration for a membership hold is 3 months.

Requesting a Membership Hold #

To request a membership hold, please follow these steps:

  1. Email Submission: Send an email to our management team at steven@thejoinery.club explaining the reason for your hold request and the desired timing.
  2. Management Approval: All hold requests are subject to management approval. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been reviewed and approved.
  3. Effective Date: If approved, your membership will be put on hold starting from your next payment date. Please note that partial months will not be included in the hold period and no refunds will be given for months already pre-paid.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy, which helps us maintain a vibrant and active woodworking community at The Joinery. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
