Drum Sander Policy #
The drum sander is designed for fine sanding and minor thickness adjustments—it is not a planer. Don’t use it to remove significant material or flatten badly warped boards. That’s a job for the planer.
Using the Machine
- One quarter turn of the thickness handle equals 1/64″ of material removal
- Never remove more than 1/64″ in a single pass
- Make two passes at the same setting before lowering for another cut
