Tool Tote Parts

Basic Woodworking

Duration: 3–4 hours (one evening or Saturday morning)

Cost: $100 (member price), $150 (non-member Price)

Get hands-on in this beginner-friendly woodworking class designed to give you both confidence and a useful project you’ll take home the same day: your own sturdy tool tote.

In this class, you’ll:

  • Learn the safe use of the major shop tools (table saw, jointer, planer, drill press, and more).
  • Practice essential woodworking techniques, including measuring, cutting, drilling, sanding, and assembling.
  • Build a tool tote you can immediately use to organize and carry your tools in the shop.

This class is the perfect first step for new Joinery members, or for anyone who wants a guided introduction to working with real woodworking equipment. Even if you’ve never touched a table saw before, our instructors will walk you through every step and help you feel comfortable in the shop environment.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with:

  • A finished tool tote you built yourself.
  • A working knowledge of the core tools in the shop.
  • The confidence to begin your next woodworking project.

Whether you’re brand new to woodworking or just want to sharpen your skills with a simple, functional project, this class will set you on a solid path.
